Construction of the new harbour in Balatonfüred has officially started in the area of Camping Füred where a new touristic stop will be established from nearly 2 billion forints; the port will provide space to 142 ships – reported by the Hungarian Yachting Association.
As magyarepitok.hu reports, the project will contribute to the extension of tourist season and the increasing number of visitors. After the contractual negotiations in December, the realisation of the project Balatonfüred Stop Point has arrived at a new milestone – after the former port was demolished, construction of the new building has been started. Presumably, cleaning of the harbour basin takes a week, which will be followed by the creation of the new harbour basin and stone pier.
The new port will be a perfect venue for sports and leisure tourism activities, where high-quality sporting and other relating events can be organised.
